Contributions are invited from all scholars, especially those based outside of Asia. Each article should not exceed 10,000 words in length (inclusive). It should be accompanied by an abstract of not more than 200 words and a note on the author’s affiliation. Research reports, which would include essays of research findings of shorter length, as well as reports of ongoing research projects, are also invited.

Manuscript Preparation
Asian Culture follows the conventions of The Chicago Manual of Style (http://www.chicagomanualofstyle.org/tools_citationguide.html).
Each manuscript (text and footnotes) must be clearly typed in double spacing throughout. References repeated in the footnotes should be by author and short title. Sub headings must be used for long articles. Spelling, dates, references and footnote numbers should be checked for accuracy.
Tables should be clearly laid out and numbered consecutively. Figures should be checked for accuracy and scanned at a minimum of 300dpi. They should be clearly numbered with an accompanying figure caption. The spelling of place names should be consistent with that used in the text.
All articles submitted should be original and unpublished.
Individual writers are responsible for facts presented and opinions expressed in the articles. Their interpretations do not necessarily reflect the views of the Editorial Committee or the Singapore Society of Asian Studies.
